Description
There have been 27 school shootings thus far in 2022. When we look at the role of a forensic psychologist or specifically a victimologist, they will need to create the victim packages discussed in the lecture video. They will need to interview children and adults who are eyewitnesses to the crimes and are traumatized by their experiences. Imagine you were a victimologist called to work on the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas.
1)What is one of the biggest challenges you think you would face in creating the victim packages referenced in the lecture?
2) Which package would be the hardest for you?
3) What do you think the impacts of stigma, social media, culture, and mental health are on witness statements and understanding what led to the crimes?
