University of Memphis The Colosseum in Rome Italy Essay

Description

highlight a culturally significant Ancient Human Heritage Site built and occupied before the year 1000.

To pick a cultural site, look in Chapters 15, 16, 18, 19 and 20 of the textbook (and in Lessons in Modules 6 and 7) for early ancient cultures, such as the Egyptians, Greeks or Romans, as well as the other early cultures from around the world. The UNESCO World Heritage List is a good place to look for sites as well. You are free to select any site from around the world as long as it is a center of human creative efforts connected to older cultures and civilizations, and that has been established before the year 1000. (You are not looking for parks, reserves, forests or barrier reefs.) Choose one to write about.

Your report should be a minimum of four pages, three containing text and images and a final page as your Resources. This report is requested to be written all in your own words, essentially translating all raw information from online websites into your own way of speaking.

The first page states the site’s name and it’s location in the world. A map would be appreciated. Talk about the site’s significance and how it reflects the culture that built it.

The second and third pages should contain at least two good images of your site selection on each page–four minimum in all. The images should be good resolution, not tiny, and labeled with captions. Your reader wants to know what they are looking at, right?
